We are pleased to announce that UMANICK has been shortlisted to enter Startupbootcamp Digital Health Miami’s Digital Health 2016. UMANICK is one of less than 5% of applicants from 40 countries to make it this far. Selection Days will take place from July 29 to July 31 in Miami, USA.

Startupbootcamp is the number one accelerator in Europe, with a presence in the major global entrepreneurship centres through various initiatives: Digital Health Berlin, FinTech & CyberSecurity Amsterdam, FinTech London, FinTech New York, FinTech Singapore, among others. Digital Health Miami is the first Startupbootcamp programme in the US, and it has a $2 Million grant from the Knight Foundation to support companies that are innovating in healthcare and focused on the eradication of healthcare disparities in the United States.

Only 10 eHealth startups will join Startupbootcamp Digital Health 2016. To Emilio Gallego, UMANICK CEO, the benefits of being one of these companies are very clear: “This is a great opportunity. Miami is a centre for healthcare innovation, it counts eight large hospitals, over 33,000 beds, three internationally recognized research universities and a legacy of successful healthcare companies.”

Emilio Gallego has also highlighted the fact that the chosen startups will be able to do pilot implementations with leading hospital systems including UHealth, Jackson Health System, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, and Ascencion and Duke Health System, as well as having direct access to leading US healthcare providers, insurers, technology companies and universities including: Mount Sinai, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Aetna, Florida Blue, Microsoft, CVS Health, MIT and Harvard.

Access to top-tier healthcare angels and VCs like Bessemer Venture Partners, Artiman Ventures, Flare Capital, Maverick Capital Ventures and Mohr Davidow Ventures, is another benefit that this program will provide UMANICK.
