From Tuesday, June 28 until Friday July 1, it will take place in Bogota, in the International Business and Exhibitions Centre – Corferias, the V edition of the International Health Fair, Meditech 2016, organized by the Colombian Association of Hospitals and Clinics (ACHC) and the Colombian Dental Federation (FOC).
As part of this important fair with 200 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors, the XII International Congress of Hospitals and Clinics will be celebrated, a meeting that will have the presence of international speakers of the highest level on issues related to the management of healthcare organisations, as well as more than 800 participants, including UMANICK for the first time.
Representatives from countries such as Australia, Spain, France, Netherlands, Brazil, Sweden, Chile and Puerto Rico, will share their experiences and success stories regarding their hospital practices, and how through these practices they have achieved optimal results for their patients and for their organisations. During the congress, the Colombian Association of Hospitals and Clinics will present the prestigious Safe Hospital National Award, recognizing entities that are permanently working to provide safe care to Colombians.
For UMANICK, attending this conference demonstrates the commitment of the company to the region and the Colombian market. In the words of UMANICK CEO, Emilio Gallego, “Colombia has a significant number of hospitals of excellence. In fact, half of the 44 hospitals in the 2015 ranking of America Economia are Colombian. And they have, among other things, a high sensitivity for patient safety. Therefore, we believe that we can provide them with our biometric patient identification solution, to avoid adverse effects on patients’ health caused by identification errors and to prevent fraud by patient identity theft. And save them the tremendous costs that all this causes to hospitals and insurance companies.”
It is indeed an excellent opportunity to present first-hand UMANICK’s secure patient identification solution, UMANICK Identity for Health, to the main actors in the Latin American health sector, who for a few days will converge in Bogota.
